This Aragonite basin is made from a form of limestone deposited by mineral springs. Aragonite is also known as Travertine. It has been used as a building material with early examples being the Romans who mined deposits and built temples, aqueducts etc.
This basin comes from Mexico.
The measurements for this basin are 720mm long, 590mm wide, 240mm high at the highest point and 140mm high at the lowest point.
This item can be viewed at our Exhibition Centre, which is located at 13 Olive Road, Devon Meadows, Victoria, Australia, 3977. Open hours are 10am until 5pm 7 days a week.
