This amazing example of a mass mortality plate consisting of Orgyginus trilobites from the Ordovician time period during the Paleozoic Era. This plate was discovered near Taouz, in Morocco. There is over 90 complete and partial trilobites in this plate, averaging approximately 145mm long.
This plate measures 1340mm long, 960mm wide with a depth from 20mm to 70mm as the plate is not flat.
This item can be viewed at our Exhibition Centre, which is located at 13 Olive Road, Devon Meadows, Victoria, Australia, 3977. Open hours are 10am until 5pm 7 days a week.
